#Saponins are glycosides with a distinctive #foaming characteristic. They are found in many plants, but get their name from the soapwort plant (Saponaria), the root of which was used historically as a soap. Now testing this as an #Emulsion agent and #FoamingAgent for the #Blackpaste line of products

Product Info | BlackPaste

#Blackpaste #LabNotes Last night I experimented with the #Quillaja as an #Emulsion and #FoamingAgent . I tried .5 gm to the normal recipe where I use 28 g MCT and 45 gm H2O and I didn't get much of an emulsion effect or foaming effect for that mater. I sent Bassam an email at the supplier and he says for food products they recommend 20-80 ppm because of the bitter quality which is far below the amount I use. Gonna try some other ideas today. 2nd I experiment with a puller product with half and half #CoconutOil and #RedPalmOil with #BentoniteClay and #ActivatedCharcoal and #Stevia #Myrrh #Clove and #Cinnamon for a nice experience.

Cargill: Products & Services - Personal Care - Ingredients - Hydrocolloids - Xanthan gum

#Xanthan gum is a nature-derived, high-molecular weight polysaccharide produced by the microorganism Xanthomonas campestris by microbial fermentation. It is highly versatile in personal care applications as it is resistant to enzymatic degradation, extremely stable over a wide range of temperatures and pHs and also in high concentrations of alcohol and salt. Xanthan gum is primarily used as a thickener, but is also the most efficient stabilizer for suspensions, #emulsions , foams and solid particles in water-based formulations.

#Emulsion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

#BlackPaste #Formulation looking into the addition of water whipped with the oils to lower the melting point of the #CoconutOil suspect we'll need an emulsifier such as #Lecithin to hold it all up over time.

#BlackPaste #Emulsion #IngredientSourcing just called this company and spoke with Bassam. He is sending a 40 mg sample to me. Shows promise as both an emulsifier AND a #FoamingAgent !! it also has medicinal properties. Hopefully not #TooGoodToBeTrue

#Antioxidant and B#acteriostatic Effects of the Addition of Extract of #Quillay #Polypheno

#BlackPaste #IngredientSourcing we really need to find this product...it seems to be quite new on the market and so difficult to source. Not only is it supposedly superior to #Xanthan for forming water oil #Emulsion but it has other health and medicinal properties.
