#ChampagneLabel terminology. #Sweetness Levels The vast majority of Champagne is brut (dry), but there are in fact several official sweetness levels, differentiated by ##residual sugar as measured in grams per liter (g/l). Doux: sweet, above 50 g/l) Demi-sec: semi dry, between 33-50 g/l Sec: dry, between 17-35 g/l Extra-Sec: extra dry, between 12-20 g/l Brut: dry, less than 12 g/l Extra Brut: very dry, less than 6 g/l. Brut Nature/Zero: bone dry, less than 3 g/l.
