The big problem with RC dating is that because it only applies to organic materials, there is no way to use this technique to guage the age of stone structures such as the pyramids, the sphynx, stonehenge, the South African stone circles, etc. So typically the archaeologist will use RC to date organic materials around the structure and use the oldest dates to date the stone which is not very scientific. For example, what if all the organic material around the stone was swept away in the great flood #greatdeluge ..which by the way is a tale passed down by every ancient culture around the world. It's not just an allegorical tale in the Bible. The flood story is found in the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh for example from text pre-dating the Bible.
