2017 Eclipse: Earth, Moon and Sun - YouTube

Shouldn't your model be closer to scale being that is supposed to be informative, educational, and all ? The moon is actually about 30 earth diameters away and here it isn't even one earth diameter away. If your model was to scale that shadow funnel would look almost like a laser beam. How is it that the moon's shadow takes on the characteristics of a laser beam and not a traditional shadow ? Thanks in advance."i>>?

(3) 2017 Eclipse: Earth, Moon and Sun - YouTube

Hey NASA, can you explain why the shadow of the moon forms a funnel shape causing the 2160 mile diameter moon to cast an umbra only 70 miles wide ? The nature of shadows on earth is to be at least as large as the object and as the object is moved closer to the light source (the sun in this case) and further from the surface upon which the shadow is cast the larger the shadow becomes. How is it that a 2160 mile wide object 237,000 miles from the surface upon which it's shadow is cast has a shadow that is merely 3.2% it's original size? How come the conical funnel shaped shadow in your illustration isn't shaped in an inverse fashion such as a megaphone as we'd see in real life on the surface ?"i>>?

2017 Eclipse: Earth, Moon and Sun - YouTube

Your animation has the moon orbiting the earth faster than the earth is spinning .. that is not accurate as the moon has a 27 day orbit to a 24 hour earth spin circuit. For every 1 degree of earth rotation around the north pole, the moon exhibits 1/27th of a degree circumanbulation around the same pole. Can someone please explain the anomalous nature of this presentation, thanks.
